Meet the Artist

Hey there friend! Welcome to my creative journey! I’m thrilled to have you as part of my art community.

I’m Vallie Pate, an acrylic artist based in Birmingham, Alabama. My passion for painting began as a young child, and ever since, I’ve been exploring the vibrant and expressive world of various art mediums. I’m so excited to share my work and artistic process with you.

As a little girl, I spent magical summers with my grandmother, an oil painter in Franklinton, Louisiana. We would set up still life scenes, create abstract art with tempera paint, or dive into ceramic projects. Those days were filled with creativity and joy, and they deeply influenced my artistic journey.

Throughout the years, I've always found ways to create—whether bedazzling my sister's shirts, hand-lettering pencil boxes, teaching myself ceramics, or designing custom paintings for clients. Creating art that brings joy to others is my love language!

God's perfect plan for me included using my gifts of curiosity and creativity to share art with others. My art business was born out of this passion. From selling collections to gift shops and boutiques to participating in art shows and hosting workshops, I love spreading joy through my art. Nothing makes my artist heart leap for joy more than creating that perfect one-of-a-kind piece for someone’s home.
